So just how pure is Ruby Red’s range of organic skin and body care?
Well, let’s just say that all our covetable body and soul collection leaves the workshop without even having heard the word “chemical”.
Of course, to keep each one away from the big bad world of parabens, toxins and other man-made nasties, we have to keep a close eye on them right from the start. That’s why Martine insists that everything which bears the Ruby Red name is created from the purest natural ingredients – from soothing organic essential oils to the most luxurious lashings of our fairly-traded shea nut butter.
We make sure that our little tubs of loveliness are wrapped up snug in biodegradable packaging and sent off into the world as innocent as possible.
What happens to them next is entirely up to you!
Get them while it’s hot
Unlike this summer’s Glastonbury Festival, our strictly limited edition Organic Bath Soak 08 certainly will sell out. With a unique mix of sophisticated petit grain and stimulating lemongrass essential oil, this really is the perfect summertime treat for sun-kissed skin. Hot-foot it over to our online store and buy today before they’re gone forever.
Get talking!
This month our breaks at Ruby Red HQ (yes, we do take a quick tea break every now and then) have been spent admiring our two lovely new baby trees.
We’re so happy with them that we got to thinking: what have you got in your garden? We’d love to see your pics up on our Facebook fan page , whether they’re of giant sunflowers, nice green lawns, your kids out playing, or even the odd ‘That’s Life’-style suggestively-shaped vegetable (oo-er). Post up your pics today, and who knows, we might even be able to swap some composting tips.
Coming soon
Ruby Red are saddling up and leaving the workshop this month to pitch our stand at the retail village as part of the International Cartier Polo 2008 event down in Windsor. If you see us, be sure to come over and talk ‘chukkas’! Let us know if you’re attending by RSVP-ing on our Facebook fan page.
Enough about us, lets talk about you
Ruby Red fan Daniela from Pinner tells us about her Latino passions, driving to Duffy and why it’s best to buy local…
Hi! My name’s Daniela, I live in Pinner and work as an interior design tutor and a freelance designer
My passions: Dancing – especially salsa and tango. I also enjoy cycling to keep fit too.
Green living: I support local farmers by buying their organic produce. If you buy from market stalls you save on packaging – and the food tastes better! In my field of work it is very important to be as green and resourceful as possible and more and more clients are becoming aware of this.
On the iPod: At the moment it’s Duffy. She’s a great artist and I love the retro sound to her songs. Her music is also great to drive to.
Favourite Ruby Red product: The Summer ‘08 Bath Soak – it’s got a fab smell and it gives you a zing to lift your spirits.
Big thanks to Daniela, your Ruby Red gift box is in the post. If you’ve shopped with us and want to let the world know why you love Ruby Red, then get in touch with your contact details. Email Natalie at hello@rubyredcosmetics.co.uk. A Ruby Red gift box with bath soaks and shea butter goes out to every customer featured.
ECO TIP of the month:
As if we needed another reason to skip the gym, new research reveals that the average running machine uses 750 watts of electricity over the course an a 30 minute workout. That’s enough to make even the least eco-conscious gym bunny break into a sweat. For an environmentally-friendly alternative we say go take a jog in the park instead. You’ll get a lovely dose of fresh air, and best of all – it’s free!
Ruby read all over
Our products have been causing such a splash with journalists that we’ve decided to post some of the nice things that have been written about us up on our website. Click here to find out exactly why everyone from Vogue to Easy Living has been making a fuss.
Meanwhile, our own resident well-being guru – Martine – has been gracing the airwaves, with a guest appearance on the “Phil & Jill” show on Hayes FM last month. Presenter Jill Kenton, a big Ruby Red fan, was very complimentary towards our organic whipped shea butters saying they “just feel divine”.
